David F. Scheidel

As a founding partner of Scheidel, Sullivan & Lanni, David Scheidel brings three decades of experience to the businesses, organizations and individuals he works with. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New Jersey and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), clients appreciate David’s proactive approach. “The creative and exciting part of accounting is finding solutions for our clients,” he says. “To us, accounting is much more than a transaction… it’s an opportunity to identify solutions that can make a significant difference. David received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers University. In addition to the PFS credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), he is a Registered Investment Advisor in New Jersey. David is also a member of the AICPA, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), and the Personal Financial Planning Committee of the NJSCPA.

Timothy J. Sullivan
CPA
A founding partner of Scheidel, Sullivan & Lanni, Timothy Sullivan oversees the accounting and audit areas and provides consulting and tax services to a broad range of industries. Tim’s experience with leading accounting firms provides clients with the full breadth of capabilities with a personal touch. “We’re completely invested in the success of the individuals and companies we represent,” says Tim. “We take on our clients’ challenges and issues as our own which is why we’re able to deliver on our commitment.”
A graduate of Villanova University, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1988. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New York and New Jersey. He is also a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Tim is also active in various civic organizations.

Michael J. Lanni, Jr.
CPA
Mike joined the firm in 2015. He has over thirty-three years of public accounting experience and seven years of diversified corporate accounting experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mike spent sixteen years as the founding partner of his own firm.
Mike is dedicated to servicing small businesses and start-up companies with their business issues and in their various phases of business growth. He is involved in the firm’s financial reporting, strategic planning, tax compliance and tax planning services.
Mike received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in public accounting from Pace University. While at Pace, Mike was a member of the Accounting Society, a four-year letterman on the baseball team and was a co-captain of the baseball team his senior year.
A member of the AICPA and NJCPA, Mike has served on various New Jersey Society of CPA committees, including Cooperation with the IRS, Members in Industry, Small Business Consulting and Sports & Entertainment committees.He is also an active member of The Rotary Club of Ridgewood where he has served two terms as President, an officer and director.
